Drive south on AZ 90 toward Sierra Vista
Turn right (west) on AZ 82
Drive about 10.7 miles on AZ 82 to Elgin Rd
Turn left (south) onto Elgin Rd
Drive about 4.7 miles to the town of Elgin
Just as you enter Elgin, turn left (south) onto Elgin Canelo Rd
Drive 4.9 miles to the intersections with AZ 83 S (Canelo Rd)
Drive 6.0 miles on AZ 83 S until it makes a sharp 90 degree turn to the left. Going straight at this corner is the gravel road "Canelo Pass Road"
Go straight onto Canelo Pass Road.
Drive down Canelo Pass Road for 2.9 miles to the AZ Trail trailhead.
You will see a
sign on the right for the trailhead
Drive about 500 feet beyond the sign to the
parking area
on the right hand side of the road.
The
AZ Trail trailhead sign
is on the south side of the parking area.
